Broadcasting on SOS RADIO SHOW today...join us for a very special edition of our weekly day/night long show, in honour of our sisters stateside Mel & Haydee...join us from 5pm GMT / 6pm CET / 11am EST, with DJs: DeanJay, Dave Law, Tashizm, Stuart Mitchell, Mr CSP, Tito Pulpo and a live broadcast from the Tempo party in Blackpool...AND THEN SOME!!!

"When I first read this last night, I wasn't certain that we ever discussed how we became aware of SOS. I know that Lady Haydee became aware of you because of me. I would blather on about the folks on FB [Facebook] providing the good music/mixing and friendship and she would wonder how I started feeling so close to a group of people I didn't know. lol For me, about 3-4 years ago I really started listening to house music with a passion...
Back in the day, radio stations ouf of NYC would play some house but there wasn't then and still isn't now a station dedicated to house. Welcome t'internet. I did a generic search on house music and found a website where folks could upload their mixes. Needless to say, I was in heaven. I found a few mixes from folks that I liked one of whom was broadcasting on a UK-based station. That mix happened to feature a guestie by Tyrone Francis. One day, I decided to log onto that station. From that point on, I would listen on a daily basis and started interacting in the chatroom with the DJs and other listeners. I was amazed at the immense love for this genre of music *outside* the US! Some of the DJs started bigging up their Facebook pages and for many a moon, I resisted getting a page. I already had a myspace page and I figured that was good enough. That couldn't be further from the truth.
When I finally caved and signed up for an account, I couldn't believe how much my world truly was opened. You see prior to joining fb, in my new quest for locating and listening to great, soulicious house music, I started listening to and downloading mixes from waxdj.com/2878 otherwise known as DeanJay. I mentioned to him a while back that I *knew* him before I knew him! Ultimately through facebook friends of facebook friends Dean and I became, wait for it.....Facebook friends!
From there, I don't think it was so much that I found SOS; it is my strong belief that SOS found *me*. As I sit here and type this note at Dani's request, sun shining and bird singing, I am truly overcome with an abundance of joy that fills my heart and spills out through my tear ducts a tiny bit. Never in my wildest imagination did I think that registering for a facebook account several years ago would lead me to some of the most AWESOME global family members who I may only ever know through this medium. God Is Good and Hayds and I are truly well and proper blessed.. We ? SOS and the ever growing SOS massive where "this is OUR house!" From strength to strength innit...
